    An absolutely beautiful 1836 classic head half eagle gold piece graded AU 55 by PCGS. It holds an excellent strike with very natural attractive and extremely lustrous surfaces. We believe this coin could have easily graded higher by PCGS as it is much nicer than the recent higher graded examples we have sold. It has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder.
