4 Vintage Burleigh Ware Porcelain Blue Willow Gold Rim Saucers.
Made In England.
about 6.75" in diameter.
No chips or cracks but  discoloration on some as seen in photos.
Beautiful transferware in a beautiful rich blue color Asian motif featuring trees, two birds, people on a bridge, a fence, a boat and a tea house, which some collectors call a pagoda.
Manufactured by Burgess and Leigh Pottery, in the Staffordshire Town of Burslem Under the Burleigh Brand dating back to the 1930's. The "Blue Willow" pattern is over 200 years old and has been continual production longer than any other pattern. It depicts the Chinese fable of an eloping couple transforming into doves, and has became of one the most identifiable design elements of 18th and 19th century ceramics.
