Burgess & Leigh The Geisha #2 Blue Transferware White & Gold Teapot C. 1898
Nice white earthenware teapot. Decorated in the Geisha #2 pattern in dark blue transfer. With gold gilt highlights. Marked on the bottom The Geisha RD Shape 324170 Rd Des 324526. Registered by Burgess & Leigh in 1898.
Has some wear to the gilding, a few small old discolored chips on the inner rim of the teapot where the lid rests and a few small flakes to the tip of the spot. Otherwise good condition.
Measures approximately 9 7/8 inches wide from spout to handle x 7 inches tall to the top of the lid finial.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
