Vintage 1950s Washington Flour Recipes Wilkins-Rogers Milling Company Booklet-PamphletWe have this original 1950’s Washington Flour Cookbook from the Wilkins-Rogers Milling Co. Washington, DC. It is a trade paperback that measures 8.5" x 5.5" x .125" with 40 numbered pages.
It contains about 135 recipes "carefully tested in our modern kitchens". Recipes are included for bread, pastries, pies, cakes, cookies, biscuits, muffins and pancakes and waffles. There are some black and white photos of these delightful goodies included.
Wilkins Rogers Mills
was established in 1913 in Washington, D.C. when Howard Wilkins and Samuel Rogers purchased a flour mill near the waterfront in Georgetown. This mill produced soft wheat flours and feeds for customers throughout the Washington, D.C., metro area under the “Washington” brand.
Condition:
A very good trade paperback booklet/pamphlet binding that is externally and internally firmly bound and tight. There are no missing pages, creases or tears, and no underlining/highlighting of text or writing in the margins.
